Ingredients

No-Sugar-Added Raspberry Chia Seed Jam

  • 1 heaping cup fresh or frozen raspberries
  • 1/4 cup fresh squeezed orange juice (from about half an orange)
  • 1/4 cup filtered water
  • 1 TBSP fresh squeezed lemon juice (from about half a lemon)
  • 1/4 cup white chia seeds

Apple Chip PB&J Bites

  • 1 bag Bare Snacks Fuji & Reds Organic Apple Chips
  • ~2 TBSP all natural peanut butter (or other nut/seed butter of choice)
  • ~2 TBSP No-Sugar-Added Raspberry Chia Seed Jam


Instructions

  1. Combine all jam ingredients, *except* the chia seeds, in a high-speed blender. Blend until the mixture is completely smooth and liquid.
  2. Transfer the blended fruit mixture to a medium saucepan. Stir in the chia seeds thoroughly. Allow the mixture to sit undisturbed for approximately 10 minutes; this crucial step allows the chia seeds to begin absorbing liquid and forming their characteristic gel.
  3. Place the saucepan over medium heat. Cook for 5-10 minutes, stirring frequently, until the jam reaches your desired thick, spreadable consistency. The heat helps to further activate the gelling process and meld the flavors.
  4. Remove the jam from the heat and allow it to cool slightly in the saucepan. Once it’s warm but not hot, transfer the jam into a clean mason jar or other airtight container. Let it cool completely to room temperature before sealing. Once fully cooled, seal tightly and store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
  5. To prepare the delightful Apple Chip PB&J Bites, simply layer a generous smear of all-natural peanut butter and a dollop of your homemade No-Sugar-Added Raspberry Chia Seed Jam onto one Bare Snacks Apple Chip.
