Discover a curated collection of my current 2024 favorites, handpicked to inspire truly meaningful and memorable gift ideas for you and your loved ones this festive season. Wishing you the happiest of holidays!
Happy, happy holidays, dear friends! As the festive season twinkles into full swing, there’s a unique warmth settling over our home this year. It marks our very first Christmas with our adorable new pup, Flora, which means we’re embracing a cozy, stay-at-home celebration. For years, M and I have cherished a tradition of spending every other Christmas in Germany, reveling in the magic of European holiday markets and snow-dusted landscapes. While those travel memories are incredibly special and exciting, I find myself equally thrilled by the prospect of doing… absolutely nothing this year. I’m genuinely looking forward to the simple joys: selecting the perfect Christmas tree, carefully draping it with lights, and watching the base fill up with all the beautifully wrapped gifts I’ve been secretly stashing away in my photography closet, just waiting for the big reveal!
The spirit of giving is truly one of my favorite parts of the holidays, and I’m beyond excited to share a carefully curated selection of my absolute favorite 2024 discoveries with you in this year’s holiday gift guide. This collection is designed to be comprehensive, featuring a wide range of genres, interests, and price points. My goal is to ensure that no matter who you’re shopping for – from the adventurous explorer to the cozy homebody, the wellness enthusiast to the coffee connoisseur – you’re guaranteed to find something truly special and well-suited for everyone in your life. Dive in, explore these fantastic finds, and see if they might just be the perfect fit for you or someone you cherish. Here’s to a wonderfully happy holiday season and a bright, prosperous New Year filled with joy and connection!
1. Carter Move Mug: ($30)
This ingenious mug was a brilliant introduction from friends during our first (and only!) camping trip of the year. From the moment I first saw it, I was immediately captivated by its sleek, minimalist design and, more importantly, its incredibly functional splash guard. This clever feature allows you to confidently take your coffee or tea on the go without the dreaded worry of spills. Imagine enjoying a brisk morning walk, confidently sipping your hot beverage without a drop escaping – that’s the freedom the Carter Move Mug offers. I, of course, gravitated towards the sophisticated Smoke Green color, but Fellow offers a stunning array of other cool and contemporary shades to match any personal style. It’s truly a perfect gift for the avid camper, the dedicated coffee lover, or anyone who appreciates taking their favorite hot drinks along for the ride, whether it’s a daily commute or a weekend adventure.
2. Rumpl Nanoloft Travel Blanket: ($85)
As someone who is perpetually cold, I’ve been a devoted fan of Rumpl blankets for years, especially for camping trips and beyond. The idea of an extra, lightweight, yet incredibly warm blanket is always a resounding “yes” in my book. This year, when M and I embarked on an unforgettable week-long adventure living out of a camper van in Wyoming, I made sure to bring my new Rumpl Nanoloft Travel Blanket. It proved to be an absolute game-changer. Despite its exceptional warmth, it was remarkably small enough to pack effortlessly into a suitcase and incredibly lightweight to carry anywhere – a crucial detail when space and weight are at a premium. It made a significant difference during those chilly, sub-freezing mornings in the camper van, offering an instant layer of cozy warmth. When I’m not traveling, my Travel Rumpl has found a permanent home in my car, ready for any spontaneous need: unexpected car trouble, a sudden chilly evening, or simply for snuggling up during a drive. This blanket is an exceptional gift for the world traveler, the outdoor enthusiast, or truly anyone who, like me, is constantly seeking a little extra warmth and comfort.
3. Perfectly Imperfect by Baron Baptiste: ($12.94)
This profound book first entered my life when one of my cherished yoga teachers began reading passages from it during our weekly classes. Each excerpt resonated deeply within me, offering insights that felt both timeless and incredibly relevant. Inspired by its wisdom, I promptly purchased the book for myself and soon began incorporating its teachings into my own new Saturday morning yoga classes, reading select chapters to my students. The beauty of “Perfectly Imperfect” lies in its accessibility; the chapters are wonderfully light and easily digestible, yet they are packed with profound wisdom that eloquently parallels life’s journey, both on and off the yoga mat. Baron Baptiste masterfully guides readers through reflections on self-acceptance, growth, and finding peace amidst imperfection. This is an exceptional read for anyone interested in personal growth, deepening their yoga practice, exploring holistic wellness, or simply contemplating the beautiful interconnectedness of these vital aspects of life. It’s a gift of introspection and inspiration.
4. Everusely Stainless Steel Food Containers: ($40)
When planning my week-long camper van adventure in Wyoming this summer, I absolutely wanted (or, more accurately, *needed*) to meal prep effectively. Glass containers were out of the question due to weight and fragility, and I didn’t want to purchase single-use plastic options upon arrival. These Everusely Stainless Steel Food Containers became the perfect solution. What I *love* most about them is their ingenious design: they stack neatly inside one another, much like a matryoshka doll, making them incredibly portable and compact – a huge advantage for travel or small kitchens. While they aren’t weightless, they are significantly lighter and more durable than glass. Throughout my week away, they proved to be exceptionally durable, completely airtight, and incredibly functional for storing a variety of meals and snacks. I also adore the brightly colored silicone lids, which offer a cheerful and completely plastic-free alternative. This gift is truly perfect for the dedicated meal preppers on your list, the eco-conscious individual, or anyone who consistently brings their food on the go, ensuring fresh, healthy meals wherever they are.
5. MadFit App (prices vary)
This year, I felt a strong urge to elevate my fitness routine and get more serious about strength training. That’s when I discovered the MadFit App, and it was an instant connection. The founder and trainer, Maddie, immediately impressed me with her vibrant energy, clear instruction, and the incredibly wide variety of classes and programs available. What I particularly love is the flexibility to mix and match classes and programs, allowing me to explore everything from challenging strength training sessions to invigorating pilates flows and even fun dance workouts. The MadFit App offers workouts that are super customizable and accessible, designed to help you effectively reach your personal fitness goals and integrate seamlessly into your lifestyle, whether you’re a beginner or an experienced athlete. This is an exceptional gift idea for anyone looking to kickstart a new workout routine, add variety to their existing regimen, or simply find an engaging and effective way to stay active from the comfort of their home or on the go.
6. Pact Organic Cotton Underwear (prices vary)
Pact was a fantastic discovery of mine this year, and I’ve quickly become obsessed with their commitment to organic cotton clothing, all made in Fair Trade certified factories. Their cotton underwear, in particular, stands out as the most comfortable I’ve tried in my ongoing journey of transitioning to primarily cotton undies. They are exceptionally soft, breathable, and provide comfort for any occasion, whether it’s a long day at work or a relaxed weekend. Available in a delightful variety of colors and styles, there’s something to suit every preference. While you’re exploring their underwear, I highly recommend checking out their other clothing offerings too; I personally own a few tops and dresses from Pact that are equally amazing in terms of quality and comfort. This makes a thoughtful and practical gift for anyone searching for high-quality, sustainably made under or outerwear, valuing both comfort and ethical production in their wardrobe choices.
7. Nagadi Coffee: (prices vary)
Without a doubt, stumbling upon Nagadi Coffee was quite possibly my favorite discovery of the entire year. It all began during my search for some exciting new coffee beans for M’s birthday in January. After we both absolutely fell in love with the beans I ordered online, we decided to embark on an in-person expedition to Nagadi Coffee in Silver Spring, MD, one Saturday morning. We fully expected to enjoy the coffee on site, but what we didn’t anticipate was finding a truly vibrant and welcoming community. We are now warmly greeted every Saturday with “our usual” – an oat milk latte for me and an espresso and pour-over for M – along with cheerful conversation and, hands down, the best coffee I’ve honestly ever tasted in the DMV area and beyond. Both M and I have our individual favorites, but I can confidently say I enjoy every single one of their meticulously sourced beans. My current go-to is the bright and aromatic Ethiopia-Yirgacheffe Dumerso, while M consistently enjoys the rich Costa Rica-Cumbres del Poas. “Nagadi” means “traveler” in ancient Ethiopian, a fitting name for a coffee that takes you on a journey with every sip. So, if you’re local, I wholeheartedly encourage you to make the expedition to try this hidden gem. If you’re not, fret not – they ship nationally, allowing their exceptional beans to travel directly to you! This is an extraordinary gift for the discerning coffee connoisseur on your list, offering a taste experience that goes far beyond the ordinary.
8. SMV Wine (prices vary)
This year, I made a conscious decision to break free from the habit of repeatedly buying the same “just okay” grocery store wines. Seeking something more special and locally supported, I joined the Sugarloaf Mountain Vineyard Bacchus Club, and it has been an absolute delight ever since. We’ve been thoroughly enjoying their quarterly wine releases, along with discovering many other exceptional wines in between. Being members here is not just about the fantastic wine; it’s about supporting a local business and feeling a sense of connection to our community. I can honestly say I haven’t had a single bad wine experience at Sugarloaf, and the vineyard’s location itself is simply beautiful and incredibly serene. It’s also perfectly nestled near Sugarloaf Mountain, which is a fantastic attraction for hiking and climbing enthusiasts, making a visit to the winery a perfect, well-deserved reward after a long day outdoors. As a dedicated red drinker, I wholeheartedly recommend any of their exquisite reds. This is an absolutely brilliant gift idea for the wine lover on your list, offering not just a bottle, but an experience and a taste of local charm.
9. Hydroflask 24-oz. Wide Mouth Trail Series ($44.95)
This Hydroflask was another essential purchase I made in the flurry of packing and prepping for our unforgettable Wyoming trip. I was on the hunt for a water bottle that was a bit sleeker and easier to fit into a backpack than my trusty, but often bulky, Nalgene. The Hydroflask 24-oz. Wide Mouth Trail Series absolutely did the trick, and it has quickly become my favorite water canteen since I acquired it in June. It’s the perfect size to keep you adequately hydrated throughout the day without feeling overloaded, and it slips nicely into most backpacks or even a large purse. The lid features a thoughtfully designed handle that I find myself using constantly for easy carrying. This Hydroflask excels at both everyday use and travel; it works particularly well at airports as a refillable water bottle, helping you stay hydrated and reduce plastic waste. It’s the perfect gift for the frequent traveler, the dedicated adventurer, or anyone on your list who, like me, never leaves the house without their water bottle.
10. Patagonia P-6 Logo Uprisal Hoodie ($89)
I am an absolute sucker for a cozy hoodie, and this unisex Patagonia P-6 Logo Uprisal Hoodie truly does not disappoint. I’m currently engaged in a valiant, ongoing battle to keep it safely away from the razor-sharp puppy teeth of my mischievous 5-month-old pup, Flora, but it’s a difficult task because I honestly want to *live* in this thing! It’s super cozy and wonderfully roomy without feeling bulky or sacrificing style. The inside boasts an incredibly soft, brushed fleece lining that maintains its luxurious feel even after multiple washes, and the material itself is impressively durable and thick, promising longevity. Patagonia offers a fantastic range of colors, but I personally snagged the versatile green and classic navy blue for my collection. I chose a size S for a roomier, more relaxed feel, so consider sizing up if you desire that extra level of comfort and coziness. This is an absolutely perfect gift idea for anyone on your list who is yearning for some seriously cozy, high-quality clothes to snuggle up in this winter season.
11. Paperage Lined Notebook Journal ($9.95)
What can I say? I’m undeniably a list person. To this day, I still prefer the tactile experience of handwriting things over typing them out. There’s something inherently satisfying and effective about physically writing down my to-dos, mapping out my yoga routine, or detailing my food photography plans; it simply helps these ideas stick better in my mind and feel more concrete. Consequently, I possess a delightful variety of these lined notebook journals, each dedicated to different themes, allowing me to keep my thoughts, aspirations, and plans meticulously organized. They offer a charming selection of colored covers to choose from, adding a touch of personal flair. More importantly, the recycled paper used in these journals is wonderfully thick and sturdy, perfectly capable of withstanding various pen inks without any frustrating bleed-through. This makes for a clean and enjoyable writing experience every time. This Paperage Lined Notebook Journal is a fantastic gift idea for the aspiring writer, the meticulous planner, the dedicated student, or anyone who simply appreciates the pristine possibilities of a clean, inviting page, ready to be filled with ideas and dreams.
12. OXB Jewelry (prices vary)
I confess, I have a deep appreciation for minimalistic, simple, and effortlessly classy jewelry, especially if it’s gold. And if it happens to be sweat-proof, like OXB jewelry, well, that’s just bonus points! I initially started purchasing pieces from OXB as a yoga teacher, needing durable yet stylish accessories that could withstand my active lifestyle. However, I quickly broadened my collection to incorporate their beautiful designs into my everyday life. I am particularly fond of their elegant rings and delicate necklaces, but they truly offer an impressive array of all sorts of stunning jewelry, from earrings to bracelets. Many of their pieces are also customizable, which adds a wonderful personal touch, making them an even more thoughtful and unique gift idea. OXB Jewelry is an excellent choice for the jewelry lover who values understated elegance, the fitness fashionista who needs accessories that keep up with her active routine, or anyone who appreciates high-quality, long-lasting pieces that blend seamlessly into any wardrobe.
13. ACOTAR Series ($52.25)
This year marks the unapologetic beginning of my deep and abiding love affair with the fantasy genre. It all commenced when Sarah J. Maas’s “A Court of Thorns and Roses” was chosen as our book club selection for early summer. I devoured the book greedily, utterly captivated by its world-building and compelling characters, and continued to read voraciously through book number five in the series. While I’ve since moved on to explore other incredible fantasy series, I unequivocally consider the ACOTAR series to be the definitive gateway drug to this enchanting genre, so to speak. It offers a perfect entry point for new fantasy readers, effortlessly hooking them into an exciting world that feels both remarkably similar and wonderfully different from our own. Maas masterfully weaves together intricate plots, passionate romances, and powerful themes of self-discovery and resilience, creating an immersive experience that is hard to put down. This complete series is the absolute perfect gift to ignite a love for fantasy in any book lover on your list this year, promising hours of thrilling escape and imaginative wonder.
14. Darë Vegan Cheese (prices vary)
As a vegan, I am the first to wholeheartedly admit that finding a truly satisfying cheese replacement is incredibly *hard*. And yet, somehow, Darë Vegan Cheese has not only managed to do it, but they’ve done it exceptionally WELL! I’m completely obsessed with this North Carolina-based brand, which I gratefully discovered this year. I’ve fallen in love with all of their delectable wedge cheeses, and their vegan cream cheese is, hands down, the absolute best I have ever tasted. What makes them even better is their commitment to minimal and clean ingredients – primarily cashew and coconut-based – without the long, often intimidating list of preservatives, gums, and emulsifiers found in many other alternatives. Darë cheese quickly became a staple for our wine nights, where we delight in pairing a flavorful wedge with our favorite crackers for the ultimate plant-based cheese and wine experience. This is a phenomenal gift idea for a family, for the dedicated vegan in your life, or for entertaining guests this season, ensuring everyone can enjoy a delicious, guilt-free bite of truly exceptional vegan cheese.
15. Athleta Excursion Backpack ($119)
This Athleta Excursion Backpack was the final, indispensable purchase I’ll share from my whirlwind Wyoming trip. I was specifically looking for a lightweight backpack that offered an abundance of pockets and ample opportunities for organized storage. This backpack not only met but exceeded all my expectations. It proved to be incredibly versatile, tripling as my primary travel backpack, my trusted hiking companion, and even my everyday purse during my summer adventures. Now, I find myself using it daily because it is simply that convenient and functional for all aspects of my life. The sleek black design looks sophisticated and stylish, effortlessly blending with any outfit, while the backpack straps are both remarkably comfortable and impressively durable, even when carrying heavier loads. With its thoughtful design and robust construction, this is a fantastic little backpack that boasts incredible versatility! It’s a superb gift idea for the avid traveler, the intrepid adventurer, the busy professional, or truly anyone who is in need of a new, highly reliable, and stylish backpack that can keep up with their dynamic lifestyle.
16. Just Enough Wine: The Red Set ($58)
I know, I know, I’ve already included some wine on this gift guide, but this particular offering, Just Enough Wine, truly exists in a category all by itself. I initially discovered this brilliant concept last holiday season when it was thoughtfully gifted to me as a set alongside some delicious chocolate. I immediately fell in love with the innovative idea of a single-serving, sustainable canned wine. There are countless evenings when I’d love to enjoy just one glass of wine without having to commit to opening and potentially wasting a *whole* bottle. Not only is this canned wine incredibly convenient, offering “just enough” wine inside (perfect 9-oz pours!), but they also taste absolutely delicious. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and flavor of all their reds and whites that I’ve tried so far. They also offer fun and refreshing varieties like sparkling bubbles and elegant rosé options. It’s absolutely perfect to enjoy for a cozy date night in, a leisurely picnic out in the park, or for a hassle-free drink while camping under the stars. This is truly an exceptional gift for any wine lover, offering convenience, quality, and a commitment to sustainability in every perfectly portioned can.
